Florian Nitschke, O Superman

The idea is an integrated interface which has the aesthetic of the original clip. It will be layered on top. The typography will display the lyrics depending on the content of the sequence. The words will be interacting with the person, objects, movements and colors in the video and reflecting the spirit of the song.

At this moment, I‘m working with the helvetica ce in the bold-style and some further animation-effects to create a 80‘s feeling. There will a base grid. It's just a first try, thanks.

And here are some Sketches:

  1. I like the 80's vibe and how you have used the orginal footage, it relates well to current karaoke but making it look stylish. So far the idea to me is successful, would just like to see more.

A bit to close to the music video?

  4. I actually think it's nice that you've used the original video. This song is mesmerizing using very little means and by being repetative, and I think that is reflected in the interface which doesn't take over. The yellow works well with the greys and doesn't clash too much with the rest. I also like that we get to see the rest of the lyrics before we sing them, it helps you prepare.

  5. i really like the visual effect of this~~especially the picture in the left bottom. But i still feel a little that it is easy to focus on the cycle in the middle and ignore the surrounding text in the first screen. Expecting the full version.

  6. I really like the idea about the interface and I am looking forward to your Karaoke after i see the Sketches below. But honestly I have no idea where i should see the moment i press play bottom,I think maybe it's the circle that distracts me.

  7. Often it's good to use what is there already (the original video) however how little can one intervene but still making it your own piece of work?

There is something nice about the shot of the circular form. Perhaps the geometry of it feels appropriate for the track. An alternative route could be to work with a series of geometric forms, and compose the type around these. So taking inspiration from the original video then moving it in a different direction.
